Polarizing Cube Beamsplitters feature 500:1 extinction ratio.

Press Release Summary:

TECHSPEC® Broadband Polarizing Cube Beamsplitters split randomly polarized beams into 2 orthogonal, linearly polarized components. Suited for variety of broadband applications, they offer transmission of greater than 90% for P-polarized light and 90° angle of reflection for S-polarized light across entire wavelength range. Beamsplitters are available in sizes of 5, 10, 20, and 25 mm in both VIS (420-680 nm) and NIR (700-1100 nm) versions.

Edmund Optics® TECHSPEC® Broadband Polarizing Cube Beamsplitters Feature 500:1 Extinction Ratio

June 12, 2008, Barrington, NJ - Edmund Optics® (EO), the premier provider of optical components, introduces new TECHSPEC® Broadband Polarizing Cube Beamsplitters. These high performance polarizing cube beamsplitters split randomly polarized beams into two orthogonal, linearly polarized components. The S-polarized light is reflected at a 90° angle while the P-polarized light is transmitted. The beamsplitters provide an impressive 500:1 extinction ratio.

TECHSPEC® Broadband Polarizing Cube Beamsplitters are designed in two versions for the VIS (420-680 nm) and NIR (700-1100 nm) wavelength ranges, respectively. Made of SF11, each beamsplitter consists of a pair of high-tolerance right angle prisms cemented together with a dielectric coating on the hypotenuse of one of the prisms. An antireflective coating has been applied to each face of the beamsplitter for reflection of less than 0.5% per surface.

Edmund Optics has designed the TECHSPEC® Broadband Polarizing Cube Beamsplitters for a variety of broadband applications. They offer a transmission of greater than 90% for P-polarized light and a reflection for S-polarized light across the entire design wavelength range. The beamsplitters are available in sizes of 5 mm, 10 mm, 20 mm and 25 mm in both visible and NIR models. They are in-stock and ready for immediate delivery.
