Pneumatic-to-Current P/I Transducers have solid-state design.

Press Release Summary:

With total accuracy up to ±0.10%, P200 and P290 transmitters convert 3-15, 3-27, or 6-30 psig air pressures into 2-wire, 4-20 or 10-50 mA signal. Customized inputs down to 0-20 in. wc or up to 0-50 psig are available. Offering infinite resolution and response time of 10 msec for 99% of step change, explosion-proof P200 has NEMA 4X housing designed for hazardous environments. Industrial-grade P290 replaces explosion-proof housing with modular design that allows panel or DIN rail mounting.

Original Press Release:

Precision Pneumatic-to-Current P/I Transducers for Hazardous or Industrial Environments

AMHERST, NH, USA - ControlAir Inc. announces its P200 and P290 pneumatic-to-current P/I transducers. These transmitters are designed to convert standard 3-15, 3-27 or 6-30 psig air pressures into a two wire 4-20 or 10-50 mA signal with a total accuracy up to +/- 0.10%. Customized inputs as low as 0-20" w.c. or as high as 0-50 psig are readily available.

The explosion-proof P200 provides uncompromising accuracy and repeatability as well as a NEMA 4X housing designed for the hazardous environments of the chemical and petrochemical industries, mining or oil and gas fields. It is FM approved and CSA certified as explosion proof for Class I, Div. 1, Groups A, B, C, D; dust ignition-proof for Class II, Div. 1, Groups E, FG; and suitable for Class III, Div. 1 locations. The P200 offers infinite resolution and a response time of 10 m Sec for 99% of step change.

The industrial grade P290 incorporates the same accuracy and reliability as the P200 without the explosion-proof housing. A modular design allows convenient panel or DIN rail mounting for individual or high density applications. The P290 is used extensively in the modern automated process systems of the pharmaceutical, semiconductor, paper and food industries.

The P200/P290 pneumatic-to-current P/I transducers require only a 10 VDC minimum power supply and provide protection from both conducted and radiated RFI from 20 MHz to 1 GHz. Since their solid-state design uses no moving parts and consumes no air, a billion cycle lifetime in shock and vibration environments can be expected.

ControlAir Inc. manufactures precision pneumatic and electro-pneumatic controls.
