Airshirz® Pneumatic Scissors Cut Kevlar® & Other Engineered Composite Materials Quickly, Easily & Cleanly
Birmingham, Oh., December 5, 2003 - Airshirz® industrial pneumatic scissors from Bettcher Industries increase worker productivity and efficiency, cutting cleanly even on complex patterns, while reducing muscle fatigue when cutting Kevlar®, carbon fiber, fiberglass and other engineered composite materials.
With its specially designed, long-lasting stainless steel blades, the unique Airshirz tool makes an amazingly clean cut, resulting in less waste and a better-looking finished product. Yet Airshirz requires approximately 90% less muscle activity to operate, and achieves up to 127% greater worker productivity over manual scissors. Muscle fatigue is dramatically reduced, as well as exposure to risk factors associated with cumulative trauma disorders (CTDs) of the hand and forearm.
Lightweight yet powerful, Airshirz feature an automatic spring-return action, so no effort is required to open the blades. Blade speed and position are fully controllable and can be stopped and opened at any time during the cutting process. Moreover, the safe air-powered operating procedures gives the user complete control over the cutting action.
