Ingersoll Rand Completes Tool Family with Addition of QA8 Series Pneumatic Nutrunners

Annandale, NJ - February 29, 2008 - Ingersoll Rand, a global leader in assembly fastening tools and systems, has launched the QA8 series pneumatic nutrunners, completing its family of precision air nutrunners (QA4, QA6 and QA8 series). Engineered for industrial, assembly and MRO applications, QA8 series nutrunners have a torque range of 20 to 225 Nm and are ideal for critical fastening applications that require precise torque control.

"Our customers asked us for better accuracy and durability in a user friendly package - that's exactly what this family of air nutrunners delivers," said Scott White, global category manager with Ingersoll Rand. "Based on the positive customer feedback we've received since the release of the QA4 series nutrunners, we're confident the market will be equally excited by the release of the full family of QA4/6/8 Series."

Like the QA4 and QA6 series, QA8 series nutrunners can be used on hard or soft joints, including plastics, composites, or metals. The new nutrunners feature ergonomic grips that provide operators with greater comfort during periods of extended usage. Additionally, QA8 series nutrunners utilize externally adjustable shut-off clutches and conveniently located reverse rings for easier operation.

QA8 series nutrunners have maximum torque outputs of 225 Nm and run off lube-free motors. They are easy to maintain and service - which means less downtime - and are fully customizable to the operator's application in both straight and angle configurations.
