Opening and closing cycles are accelerated to promote productivity, while 40 mm dia piston and 450 N gripping force at 70 psi ensures proper handling of heavy components. Capable of 3 million cycles, 2.65 lb gripper is available in single-point metal or ceramic jaw styles.

Bilsing Automation Gripper Handles Hot and Heavy Components


Clinton Township, MI -- Bilsing Automation North America has announced the availability of its PSQ40 pneumatic gripper designed to withstand the high temperature environment of hot forming applications required to produce automotive structural components such as A/B pillars or side and roof rails.The robust, yet lightweight design (2.65 lbs.) of the PSQ40 is capable of 3 million cycles and can handle workpiece temperatures of up to 1000o C. It has a piston diameter of 40 mm and a gripping force of 450 N at 70 psito handle heavier components.It features short opening and closing cycles for increased productivity.

The PSQ40 is available in a both a heat-resisting single-point metal jaw style or a ceramic single-point jaw style for higher strength, lighter weight component handling.Both grippers feature a sensor to ensure correct part positioning.
