Parker's Series SRX Cylinder Incorporates Electronic Controller Feature
DES PLAINES, Illinois (November 1, 2002),- Parker's newest introduction into the pneumatic cylinder marketplace - the Series SRX - features an internal feedback device that allows the end user to continuously monitor the cylinder's position throughout its entire working stroke length.
"The Series SRX Cylinder is a highly accurate positioning actuator, with low voltage power supply requirements," explains Parker product sales manager, Dave Simak. "The SRX Cylinder, combined with the available electronic controller packages, provides an economical cylinder solution for applications that require continuous cylinder position monitoring."
The SRX product line is available with a wide variety of controllers that will enable a 4-20 Ma output, or a 0-10 VDC output from the feedback device.
The SRX Series incorporates a corrosion resistant, stainless steel body and is available in a number of bore sizes (1 1/16" 1 1/2", 2", 2 1/2" and 3"). The following mounting styles are also available: DXP (nose and pivot mount), BFD (front block mount) and D (nose mount).
This versatile product can be applied in a wide variety of applications such as plastic injection molding, robotic welding, press applications, metal forming, slitting, edge guiding, and web tensioning. Primary markets include: packaging, plastics, automotive, animation, metal fabrication, primary metals and pulp and paper industries.
