Functionally equivalent to solid platinum with respect to high corrosion resistance and electrochemical and thermal stability, Custom Engineered Platinum Clad Wire features 2% or more cladding thickness and smooth, consistent surface finish. Product comes in sizes from 0.002-0.125 in. OD and as ribbon up to 1 in. wide. Wire can be metallurgically bonded to core materials such as nickel-iron, molybdenum, tantalum, titanium, niobium, KovarŪ, stainless steel, and copper.

Platinum Clad Wire Replaces Costly Solid Products
Custom engineered platinum and platinum-alloy clad wire, rod and ribbon which are functionally equivalent to solid wire at about one-tenth the cost are available from Anomet Products, Inc. of Shrewsbury, Massachusetts.
Anomet Platinum Clad Wire is functionally equivalent to solid platinum with respect to providing high corrosion resistance and electrochemical and thermal stability, but is typically one-tenth the cost. Featuring 2% or more cladding thickness, this clad wire has a smooth, consistent surface finish and can be custom engineered to match application requirements.
Metallurgically bonded to core materials such as nickel-iron, molybdenum, tantalum, titanium, niobium, KovarŪ, stainless steel and copper, Anomet Platinum Clad Wire is offered in sizes from 0.002" to 0.125" O.D. and as ribbon up to 1" wide, depending upon the desired properties. Other precious metals such as palladium, gold or silver are also available.
