Itasca, IL August 11, 2003 - Fontijne Grotnes, Inc. introduces a line of Laboratory Platen Presses in North America, for use in Research & Development Laboratories and Quality Control applications. These Laboratory Platen Presses are used in the rubber, plastic, plywood and laminate industry for testing. Fontijne offers both manual and programmable models available in vacuum and multi-daylight configurations. The presses are compact and simple to operate, ergonomically designed, stable, and include integrated heated and coolant platens. Laboratory Platen Presses are equipped with electrically heated platens, maximum standard temperature of 572°F, temperature accuracy ±39.2°F, 7 7/8" stroke and daylight, 5 to 100 ton press force, compressed air connection for removing water out of platens after cooling.

Our programmable models are offered with two different types of controllers: -The standard control, allows programming temperature and press force adjustments based on time. -The Lab control, offers a simple programming for temperature, pressure, and time, also accounts for venting, preheating, water cooling and pressing speed.
