Release of Model FPDB 2500/3 Plate Processing Center

Peddinghaus Corporation is pleased to announce the development of a totally new machine concept for processing of flat and plate sections in a one pass concept.

The new FPDB 2500/3 incorporates the technologies of punching, drilling, scribe marking, and thermal cutting via plasma or oxy-fuel into one machine. This unique machine processes flat bar and plate stock from ¼â€ to 3†thickness with capacity up to 96†wide and 20 ft. in-feed length. Depending on part thickness, multiple hole diameters can be created via punching or drilling, The operator can then choose plasma or oxy-fuel thermal cutting to cut to any contoured shape or length.

The scribe marking unit can mill any identification number – regardless of height or orientation – in seconds. A powerful software package is available to provide full nesting capability.

Users report that the one-pass design concept of the FPDB 2500 maximizes plate productivity by eliminating unnecessary material handling. The safety hazards normally associated with multiple parts handling of heavy plate sections is also reduced by the efficient design. Savings of up to 80% in material handling and labor have been reported.

Peddinghaus Corporation is celebrating its’ Centennial Year marking 100 years since the founding of the company in 1903.
