Custom Plastic Trays Protect Fragile or Valuable Parts
Custom engineered, vacuum formed plastic trays for the assembly, storage, shipping, and point-of-sale packaging of fragile or valuable parts are being introduced by Sheltech Plastics, Inc. of Methuen, Massachusetts.
Sheltech Custom Trays are vacuum formed and can include features such as cavities in almost any size and shape for holding parts, locating holes for robotic arms, engravings, matching covers, and snap- or clamshell closures. Designed to protect fragile or valuable components, assemblies, or finished parts, they can be made from a wide variety of materials.
Providing in-house tooling which allows three week turnaround for concept-to-prototype approval, Sheltech Custom Trays can be vacuum formed from PVC, PETG, styrene, ABS (anti-static or conductive), and other materials in gauges from 0.015" to 0.375" and tray sizes from 2" x 3" up to 48" sq. They are ideally suited for delicate, value-added components and products.
