March 23, 2004 - Model SS8 vertical, immersible pump features tear-drop locking design that allows operator to remove just pump core for service, while body stays connected to piping system. PTFE fume barrier protects motor end-bell and bearings from corrosion. Non-overloading, continuous duty, totally-enclosed motor is standard. Pump handles flow rates to 80 gpm and up to 45 ft of total dynamic head. It can be run dry or operate against closed discharge valve.

New, Easy to Service, All-Plastic Pump
The new SS8 all-plastic, vertical, immersible pump from Hayward has been designed for quick and easy service. These pumps feature a special tear-drop locking, design that allows the system operator to quickly remove just the pump core for service. The pump body stays connected to the piping system.
Hayward's SS8 Quick Service Pump is easy to remove from the line for maintenance. Just loosen the four mounting bolts, turn the pump motor slightly and lift it out of the pump body for service.
