Ameri-Kart Introduces the Self Dumping Hopperâ„¢ for Efficient In-Plant Material Waste Handling

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: (May-2002) -- Ameri-Kart, a leading manufacturer of rotationally molded plastics, introduces the Self-Dumping Hopperâ„¢ to its line of waste and material handling products. The Self-Dumping unit simplifies loading, moving, and unloading bulk items and waste. The efficient design allows a single operator to load, move, and unload a filled hopper within a manufacturing plant, warehouse, or food processing facility.

An oversized latch holds the hopper upright while it is being filled. When the latch is released, the hopper swings to 40 degrees below the horizontal to quickly clear all contents. Once empty, the unit's double rocker arms allow the container to return to the upright position and the latch automatically engages.

Frame members, rocker arms, and latch components are all welded, solid steel. The unit's base design is compatible with all forklifts for quick transport to a desired location. Units can be ordered with optional casters for additional maneuverability in and around a manufacturing location.

The hopper is rotationally-molded of high impact polyethylene for easy maintenance and durability. Hoppers are unaffected by petroleum-based products and most caustic materials. The container's seamless, smooth interior insures easy, complete unloading and cleaning.

Self-Dumping Hoppers and are available in volume capacities that range from 1/2 to 2 cubic yards. Weight limits range from 750 to 1,500 lbs. Although manufactured as a watertight unit, containers can be fitted with optional drains where special applications require them. Standard colors are gray, blue, and red. Optional colors are available upon request.
