April 10, 2002 - Plastic Arbor Shims, for light- to medium-duty spacing, are non-conductive, non-marring, and non-magnetic. They resist oil and corrosion, and are suitable for spacing of milling cutters, gang cutters, saws, and grinding tools. Offered in 13 different thicknesses and in 12 I.D. and O.D. combinations, shims from .001 to .005 in. thick are made from polyester material, and shims from .0075 to .030 in. thick are made from vinyl material.

Finally, Plastic Color Coded Arbor Shims
Precision Brand Products, Inc. introduces new Plastic Arbor Shims for light to medium duty spacing. Shim identification is easy because the color tells you the thickness!
All shims are non-conductive, non-marring, non-magnetic. These Plastic Arbor Shims also resist oil and corrosion. Ideal for fast accurate spacing of milling cutters, gang cutters, saws and grinding tools. Material experiences minimal compression during use.
The .001" to .005" thick shims are made from a polyester material; the .0075" to .030" shims are made from a vinyl material. Plastic Arbor Shims are offered in thirteen different thicknesses, ranging from .001" to .030", in twelve I.D. and O.D. combinations. I.D. sizes start at 3/8" and go to 2", O.D. sizes start at 5/8" and go to 2-3/4". Larger and thicker shims are also available on special order.
The shims are sold in individual sizes; 10 pieces per package or in convenient assortments.
