Wildeck Displays New Pivot Safety Gate at ProMat

Innovative "cut-to-fit" design easily adapts to existing material loading areas for maximum installation flexibility.

Waukesha, WI - January 12, 2009, Wildeck, Inc. - A major product demonstration at Wildeck's booth #1244 during ProMat 2009 was a new easy-to-operate Pivot Safety Gate designed for new and existing mezzanines, elevated platforms, balconies, and rack systems.

Wildeck's new Pivot Safety Gate was developed in response to industry demands and pending code requirements for increased safety during forklift loading and off-loading of material. Compared to standard access gates, a "safety gate" provides a properly guarded area for personnel working on a pallet at the edge of a balcony or mezzanine.

Wildeck's new Pivot Safety Gate features strong, balanced construction and a smooth pivoting motion that simplifies operation. When one side is raised, the other side closes, allowing quick, convenient and safe access by forklifts and facility personnel. With its perimeter railing and integral 4-inch high kickplate, loading and unloading areas can be fully protected, reducing accidents and injury from falling material. The surface-mounted gate can be used with existing mezzanines and elevated platforms. Side railings can also be directly connected to most WildeckŪ mezzanine railings providing a seamless barrier.

Wildeck's new Pivot Safety Gate is the third "safety gate" offered by the company. Its unique cut-to-fit design offers more installation flexibility than any other safety gate on the market today. It is shipped as a standard 10 ft. wide gate and is easily cut at the job site to precisely fit the opening that a customer requires.

According to Hue Schlegel, Director of Marketing for Wildeck, Inc., "The addition of the new Pivot Safety Gate, combined with our other safety gates and safety guarding products, positions Wildeck as providing more facility safety solutions than any other material handling equipment manufacturer."

Wildeck also offers a roll-up-style "Overhead Safety Gate" and a unique side-by-side "Double-Drop Safety Gate" which allows simultaneous loading and unloading by forklifts and personnel and is ideal for high-cycle operations. All Wildeck safety gates meet IBC codes and OSHA safety standards.

Whether an opening is narrow, medium, or wide - Wildeck offers a solution for safe, convenient, and fast movement of materials in warehouses, distributions centers, manufacturing facilities, storerooms, and many other applications.

Wildeck, Inc. - based in Waukesha, WI - is the largest manufacturer of mezzanines, vertical lifts and safety guarding products in North America. Wildeck products are used for the safe and efficient handling, storage, and protection of materials. For more than 30 years, the company has grown through a dedicated and experienced network of customer-serviceoriented dealers and systems integrators, nationwide.
