Denison's Open Circuit PV6 - PV29 Piston Pump Family Now Available with Electronic Proportional Compensator

Marysville, Ohio, May 4 – Denison has developed a new, low cost electronic option for its venerable line of PV Series hydraulic piston open circuit pumps, creating significant new pressure control capabilities for OEMs in a wide variety of in-plant and mobile vehicle applications.

The new Electronic Proportional Compensator (EPC) for the PV family is ideal for applications where pressures are required to vary "on the fly" or where multiple pressure settings are required.

This EPC control is fully field retrofittable to existing pumps with standard C, F, and L compensators.

The EPC reduces or eliminates the need for external valving; it is a simple, bolt-on product requiring no external plumbing, no additional drain lines and, thus, no additional installation costs.

The PV family includes pumps with flows of 6, 10, 15, 20 and 29 gpm at 1800 rpm. Four pumps in the PV family are rated at 3500 psi (240 bar) continuous, 4500 intermittent; the largest, the PV29, is rated at 3000 psi continuous, 4000 intermittent.

The PV family – with a simple internal bearing replacement – can operate on water glycol fluid and is thus ideal for operation in steel mills and die casting applications.

Denison Hydraulics is a leading global manufacturer of hydraulic components and systems for off-highway and construction vehicles; mining equipment; environmental waste and recovery equipment; pulp and paper, chemical and other processing equipment; and for such in-plant machines as machine tools, plastic molding machines, die casters, and stamping presses.
