July 18, 2002 - Anchor Pump®, positive displacement pump can be set for low flow range of 5 gpm or less and can produce 400 psi of pressure. It uses active recovery process that draws product from specified depth, at specified rate, on demand at consistent flow rate, independent of liquid level in well or tank. Electric or pneumatic top head drive motor minimizes operator contact with liquid and makes pump suitable for hazardous, chemical reactive, or explosive environments.

Blackhawk Announces Anchor® Pumps's Clean, Healthy, and Safe Inspection and Maintenance Features

Top Head Drive Motor Minimizes Operator Contact with Pumped Liquids

Glen Ellyn, IL - BLACKHAWK ENVIRONMENTAL COMPANY announces that their Anchor Pump®, a positive displacement piston jack pump with a top head drive motor, is designed to make pump inspection and maintenance clean, healthy, and safe. The pump's surface mounted drive motor ensures that an operator has minimum contact with any liquid being pumped and that the pump discharge air is free of contaminants. This provides a safe, clean and healthy working environment as well as fast, easy field service response. In addition, when pneumatic power is being used, there is no contaminated, pathogen laden exhaust gas release.

The Anchor Pump's electric or pneumatic top head drive motor resides on top, outside of the well or tank being pumped. No electric wires or compressed air lines enter the well or tank being pumped. This makes the Anchor Pump ideal for hazardous or potentially hazardous, chemical reactive or explosive pumping environments.

The Anchor Pump can be set for a low flow range of 5 US GPM or less. With shallow or deep recovery capabilities, the lightweight Anchor Pump can produce 400 psi of pressure. The Anchor Pump uses an active recovery process that draws product from a specified depth, at a specified rate, on demand at a consistent flow rate, independent of liquid level in the well or tank.

Blackhawk Environmental Co. provides pumping solutions for the environmental, landfill, groundwater and industrial markets. Blackhawk specializes in manufacturing quality pumps and controls for demanding pumping applications.
