Ultragard(TM) Aerogel Pipe Wrap Insulation Cuts Energy Loss and Installation Time in Petrochemical Operations

Revolutionary UltraGard(TM) precut aerogel insulation, fabricated and distributed by PACOR, Inc. and its subsidiary LIT Industries, Inc., provides an easy-to-install method to cut energy loss and extend pipe rack efficiencies in piping systems used in chemical and hydrocarbon processing operations. Available for both high temperature and cryogenic environments, aerogels are 2 to 8 times more efficient than traditional materials. Consisting of lightweight silica solids derived from a gel in which the liquid component has been replaced with gas, and reinforced with nonwoven, glass fiber batting, aerogels possess the lowest thermal conductivity of any known solid. Environmentally safe, aerogel insulation features reduced thickness which results in a very thin profile, making it ideal for a wide variety of pipe wrapping situations.

UltraGard aerogel insulation can be used effectively in tight access areas and, because it is hydrophobic, it repels liquids. It is available in both 5 mm and 10 mm thicknesses, in 1 ½", 2" and 3" widths, in nominal length of 59 ½".

Aerogel insulation in blanket form improves labor productivity in wrapping tanks, vessels, towers, and in covering tank roofs. For steam pipe retrofits, simple fast installation of single ply aerogel blanket overwrap can drive moisture out of old, wet insulation and recover system performance.

UltraGard and other aerogel insulations are available from stock for immediate delivery. For more information, call 609-324-1100, Fax: 609-324-1106, visit www.pacorinc.com or e-mail chemical@pacorinc.com. PACOR, Inc., 333 Rising Sun Road, Bordentown, NJ 08505.
