July 23, 2009 - Available in sizes from 2-100 in., Oil-Chem Stoppers are covered with Nitrile, which withstands temperatures up to 110° and offers resistance to petroleum-based fluids, oils, and solvents. Units provide method of stopping flow of gas or liquid along pipe or duct during leak and pressure testing of pipes and containers. Available with ball or Schrader type valve, each can be inserted through small entrance port, inflated to required size, and withdrawn after deflation.

Oil and Chemical Resistant Pipestoppers


Pipe Stoppers resistant to Oils and Chemicals are are now available, following extensive development and research by Huntingdon Fusion Techniques Limited.

The new range compliments the Manufacturer's existing Pipestoppers(TM) expandable and inflatable plugs product range

The "Oil-Chem Stoppers" as this new range is designated, are covered with Nitrile, which has excellent resistance properties to petroleum-based fluids, oils and solvents. It is also able to withstand temperatures of up to 110 degrees.

They provide an easy method of stopping the flow of gas or liquid along a pipe or duct, during leak and pressure testing of pipes and containers, and are particularly valuable for the Petrochemical sector.

Each stopper can be easily inserted through a small entrance port, inflated to the required size and withdrawn again after deflation.

Sizes available start from 2" up to 100" (50 to 2525 mm) and are available with a choice of either a ball or Schrader type valve for sealing after inflation.

Apart from its resistance to petrochemical materials, each stopper has good resistance to abrasion.

In the event of special requirements, the Company can offer specially constructed inflatable stoppers with other coatings.
