RIDGID® 975 Combo Groover Offers Exclusive Auto Tracking Feature for Manual and Automatic Grooving
ELYRIA, OHIO - July 2008 - The new RIDGID® 975 combo roll groover is the first RIDGID groover designed to provide both in-place and machine grooving capabilities. With grooving capacity of 1-1/4 inch to 6-inch pipe, the Model 975 also offers auto tracking technology that makes grooving faster and easier. Whether grooving by machine or hand, this patented design keeps the pipe engaged to the groove rolls throughout the grooving process.
Like all RIDGID roll groovers, the Model 975 combo groover is designed to provide consistent, accurate grooves on schedule 10 and 40 steel pipe, as well as schedule 10 and 40 stainless steel, aluminum and PVC pipe. The Model 975 groover also includes an easy-to-use, permanently fixed, depth-setting gauge for quick, repeatable setup. Weighing 26 pounds, the rugged design of the combo groover includes heavy-duty bearings and a heat-treated top plate for extended life. An integrated cast-in handle and 55 percent higher gear reduction provide easier overhead grooving, and the convenient handle allows easy carrying of the unit to and from the jobsite.
The RIDGID 975 combo groover easily mounts to the RIDGID 300 power drive, and it includes a ratchet wrench with 1/2-inch drive for both machine and in-place grooving. For machine grooving, the Model 975 can also operate with any 15/16-inch hex wrench.
