Pin Grid Array Extractor in Two Sizes from FKN Systek

Two fully adjustable grip claws with screw lock downs grab the device from both sides.

These tools provide a quick and safe way to extract PGA components from their sockets. Adjusting the extractors to match the Pin Grid Array dimensions is quick and easy. Available with 2 or 4 support legs, the claws gently remove the PGA from the socket as the operator turns the extraction screw. The surrounding components on a circuit board can be as close as .100" without interfering with the operation of the tool. The 4 leg extractor is made to pull PGAs of 16x16 to 22x22, lifting the component by supporting all four sides.

This model can also be used to extract Gate Arrays from their sockets. The two leg model can be used to extract components of 10x10 or greater. For large pin counts (>18x18) it is recommended to use the 4 leg version. Both devices have a lift stroke of 15 mm, easily allowing the removal of PGAs with heat exchangers mounted on them.
