Low-VOC and APE-free Additives Custom Designed for Specific Formulator Challenges

LEHIGH VALLEY, Pa., June 3 -- Air Products (NYSE:APD) today introduced four new ZetaSperse(R) pigment dispersing additives for waterborne coating and ink applications. Meeting customer requests for problem-solving additives with high-performance and problematic pigments, these new ZetaSperse dispersing additives have been designed to combat viscosity build, color drift, flocculation and other challenges faced by dispersion formulators.

These new low-VOC and APE-free ZetaSperse pigment dispersing additives are optimized for superior performance with a variety of unique applications, depending on the type of pigment. They provide excellent dispersion stability and are specifically designed for use in water-based systems.

-- ZetaSperse 2500 Additive: Offering robust dispersion viscosity stability, this product is excellent with problematic pigments, such as metal salt reds and other organic pigment types prone to dispersion rheology challenges.

-- ZetaSperse 3100 Additive: An easy-to-use dispersant for carbon black pigments, it offers a unique combination of chemistries that provide broad utility, robust stability, and compatibility across the wide range of carbon black pigment grades.

-- ZetaSperse 3400 Additive: Designed for the particular challenges of dispersing quinacridone, perylene and similar pigment chemistries, this product offers the correct combination of pigment affinity and stabilization to achieve high-quality dispersions with optimal color development, superior color and viscosity stability, and letdown compatibility.

-- ZetaSperse 3700 Additive: Designed for the particular challenges of dispersing DPP, azo, and phthalocyanine pigment chemistries, this product offers the correct combination of pigment affinity and stabilization to achieve high-quality dispersions with optimal color development, superior color and viscosity stability, and letdown compatibility.
