September 16, 2008 - Driven by piezo linear motor, DT 65-LM precision positioning rotary stage measures 105 mm long and 25 mm high, weighs 0.35 kg, and can support loads up to 80 N. It delivers positional accuracy of 0.015°, repeatability of less than 0.003°, and max surface run out of 20 µm. Manufactured from low-distortion aluminum alloy, black anodized stage is capable of speeds to 360°/sec and accelerations exceeding 10,000°/sec². It is available with direct reading incremental angular encoder.

New Low Profile Piezo Driven Rotary Stage


BURLINGTON, MA, SEPTEMBER 15, 2008 --Steinmeyer, Inc. announced a new ultra compact precision positioning rotary stage. The model DT 65-LM offers a sleek low profile design with an overall height of 25 mm and length of 105 mm. This rotary stage weighs only 0.35 kg, but can support loads up to 80 Newtons. Driven by a piezo linear motor, it has a positional accuracy of 0.015 degrees, repeatability of less than 0.003 degrees and a maximum surface run out of 20 µm. Speeds up to 360 degrees/sec and accelerations greater than 10000 degrees/sec² are easily achieved.

The DT 65-LM Rotary Stage is manufactured from a low distortion aluminum alloy and is black anodized. The stage is available with a direct reading incremental angular encoder with 3600 lines yielding a resolution up to 409,600 counts per 360 degrees. Options include: 10 mm diameter center aperture; clean room and vacuum compatibility; and different encoder resolutions.

The DT 65-LM Rotary Stage is ideal for applications in the Semiconductor, Fiber Optic, Medical/Life Sciences, Optical, Laser Systems and Miniature Robotics industries.
