Jessup Introduces White Frame Glo Brite® Eco Exit(TM) PF50 Signs

New photoluminescent signs are aesthetically pleasing, ecologically friendly and economically priced

MCHENRY, Ill., -- Jessup Manufacturing Company has introduced a new Glo Brite® Eco Exit(TM) PF50 sign with a white frame that enhances architectural designs while continuing to provide all the energy saving and cost advantages of environmentally friendly photoluminescent exit signs.

North America's leading manufacturer of photoluminescent safety products, Jessup's new Eco Exit(TM) PF50 sign is UL 924 Listed for 50 feet. The signs consume no energy and need no maintenance, reducing costs and the carbon footprint for building owners. The signs use the latest photoluminescent technology to absorb and store ambient light. During an emergency blackout or smoky conditions, the stored energy lights the sign, reducing the risk of panic or injury during an emergency evacuation.

"Our new Glo Brite® Eco Exit(TM) PF50 signs offer architects, contractors and building owners an esthetically pleasing solution for simple, inexpensive and ecologically friendly high visibility building exit signs," said Alan M. Carlson, vice president marketing support and business development for Jessup. "These zero energy signs provide significant design, installation and operational benefits."

The signs are ideal for commercial buildings, small to midsize retailers, schools and universities, hospitals and other healthcare facilities.

Architects can choose single- or double-sided signs with multiple mounting options that are LEED points qualified and reduce cooling and emergency generator loads. Contractors benefit from lower labor and material costs since no electrical wiring or battery backup is needed.

Ongoing operating costs for building owners are reduced because the signs do not use any electrical energy or require bulb or battery replacement. Plus, the signs are movable if egress paths change, and they are non-toxic, so there are no disposal issues common with tritium signs that utilize radioactive materials.

The Glo Brite® Eco Exit(TM) PF50 signs also help architects and building owners reduce the carbon footprint to create greener buildings. A building with 100 photoluminescent signs will save more than $3,500 a year in energy costs and reduce air pollution by almost a half a million pounds of CO2 compared with incandescent signs over the life of the product.

Jessup's Glo Brite® Eco Exit(TM) PF50 signs are available with either a red or green outline on the white frame. The signs have a life expectancy of more than 25 years.
