Sensor Offers Rugged ABS Housing Withstanding 100G Shock With High-Speed Response Of 500µ Seconds

The Optex Y series is of photoelectric sensors feature high performance sensing for general purpose applications and feature a compact housing with flexible mounting design. The Y series is designed for sensing applications where simplified installation and minimal maintenance are required.

These compact sensors feature versatile mounting options by using a 18mm threaded lens mount or the more conventional side-threaded screw holes for meeting most mounting requirements. These sensors feature a rugged ABS housing withstanding 100 G shock. The IP67 rated enclosure allows installation in all harsh environments. A brilliant Red LED light source with a highly visible beam spot provides long sensing distance and is a great aid in sensor alignment

Available in NPN or PNP output for connection to all PC, PLC and relay input devices. Each sensor provides complementary outputs of light-on and dark-on modes. High speed response of 500 µ seconds

Available in thrubeam, polarized retro-reflective, convergent and diffuse modes for solving most sensing problems. The retro-reflective transparent model will reliably detect all clear targets including PET, films, glass, and shrink-wrap. For more difficult sensing applications the Y series is also available in Background Suppression mode with the ability to detect all targets at the same distance regardless of changes in the targets color or surface textures. The mechanical four-turn adjustable potentiometer provides 5% hysterisis insuring extremely repeatable sensing accuracy.

Three highly visible LED indicators display power, output and alarm status for verification of operation from a wide viewing area. Connection options include 2m cable, M8 integral and M12 pigtail quick-disconnect types.
