June 11, 2008 - With 20 x 12 mm profile and 12-24 Vdc input power, E Series offers sensing distance of 500 mm and provides NPN or PNP output for connection to PC, PLC, and relay input devices. Red LED light source provides visible beam spot and optimizes sensor alignment. Measuring 3.5 mm thick, front-sensing styles offer thrubeam mode with 0.1 mm repeat accuracy, plus diffuse and convergent modes with 0.05 mm repeat accuracy. Side-sensing models are 5 mm thick and offer same modes.

Ultra-Thin Sensors Are Only 3.5mm Thick Featuring 100G Shock Rating And 250µ Second Response Time

The E series is designed for sensing applications where there is virtually no room for mounting a sensor. Even with a ultra-small 20 H x 12 W (mm) profile the E series offers long sensing distance of 500mm. A brilliant red LED light source provides a highly visible beam spot and is a great help in sensor alignment. E series sensors feature a rugged housing able to withstand 100G shock and the IP67 rated enclosure allows installation in damp environments.

The E series sensors are available in two mounting styles: the front-sensing style sensors which are 3.5mm thick and the side-sensing style which are 5mm thick. Round and oblong mounting holes are provided for screw mounting. Mounting holes are re-enforced with metal sleeve inserts for preventing over tightening of the mounting screws.

E series sensors require 12 to 24 volt DC input power and are offered in NPN or PNP output types for reliable connection to any PC, PLC, and relay input devices. The side-sensing thrubeam type provides a 250µ second response time. All of the other E series sensors have a response time of 500µ seconds and are available in light-on and dark-on modes.

The front-sensing types are available in thrubeam mode with 0.1mm repeat accuracy, diffuse and convergent modes with 0.05mm repeat accuracy. The side-sensing types are also available in thrubeam, diffuse, and convergent modes.

Bright dual LED indicators display power and output status for easy monitoring. The LED's are visible from both the front and back sides of the sensors. Connection options include 2m cable and M8 molded pigtail quick-disconnect type.
