Peak and Hold PWM Driver suits solenoid power save applications.May 18, 2010 -
Readily interfaced to PCs, PLCs, and control systems, Model 500 drives solenoid based devices with initial full-on pull-in pulse and then provides reduced power hold-in current via PMW output. Use can reduce overall current in existing on/off solenoid drive applications, reducing operating solenoid coil heat and extending coil life. Rotary switch adjustable peak time ranges from 5 msec to 5 sec, and adjustable high-frequency PWM hold duty cycle range is 90%-15%.

Applied Processor and Measurement, Inc. Announces the Model 500 Peak and Hold PWM Driver for Solenoid Power Save Applications.
East Amherst, NY: Applied Processor and Measurement, Inc. announces the release of the Model 500 Peak and Hold PWM Driver. The Model 500 is designed to drive solenoid based devices with an initial full-on pull-in pulse, then provide a reduced power hold-in current by pulse width modulating the output. The Model 500 can reduce overall current in existing on/off solenoid drive applications, reducing the operating solenoid coil heat, thereby extending coil life and protecting the coil from burn-out. The Model 500 is readily interfaced to PC's, PLC's and control systems and can be placed in-line with existing installations to provide immediate benefit. Product is available to ship now.
Features of the Model 500 Peak and Hold PWM Driver:
