Carval Adds New Payroll Bureau Service to HR & Payroll Software Line up

Leading HR and Payroll software company Carval (www.carval.co.uk) has launched a new Payroll Bureau Service for users of its acclaimed Unistaff HR Software. The service, which is provided by Carval's own IPP (Institute of Payroll Professionals) qualified payroll team delivers either traditional or secure e-payslips and utilises the bureau interface included as standard in the Unistaff module.

In addition, employees of those clients with Carval's Employee Self-Service Software installed will be able to access current and historic payslips, P60s and P11Ds via a secure browser. All users of the new service receive full management reports and have a dedicated account manger on hand to guide them smoothly through the process.

Carval has already received widespread acclaim for its HR Unity range which is the only truly integrated HR, Payroll, Time & Attendance and Self-service software in the UK. The range which uniquely operates from a single SQL database written by a single supplier comprises: Unistaff HR Software, Uniwage Payroll Software and Unitend Time & Attendance Software. Each is a functionality rich standalone solution but modules can be implemented in a combination to suit to the user's needs and added to as those needs change. The addition of the new service extends the benefits of Carval to those who would prefer a bureau approach.

Commenting on the launch of the new bureau service John Ovington, Sales and Support Director of Carval believes that the new service is a reflection of client's needs and will deliver significant benefits to users, commenting; "For many businesses, the increasing burden of payroll legislation has become highly problematic. The payroll function is now far more than the deduction and payment of tax and national insurance. Recent legislative changes include: Contracted-Out NIC rebates, Tax Credit payments (Disabled Persons and Working Families), Student Loan deductions, and the EC's Working Time Directive. Coupled with this, the risks of non-compliance are huge.

"With this in mind, it was clear that a number of our clients would attach great value to an outsourced service linked to their integrated Carval HR and payroll solutions. We were determined to provide them with an effective and substantive alternative that would alleviate these burdens. We listened closely to their requirements and believe that our new service offers them a fast, cost effective and efficient solution. By utilising this service, the costs and resource requirements of running the payroll operation are tightly controlled and there is no need to use valuable resources delivering training for internal staff to keep them abreast of legislative changes."

News of the new service was welcomed by the IPP. Commenting on the news Karen Thomson, Associate Director of Policy, Research, and Strategic Visibility said; "We're always happy to welcome payroll software suppliers, such as Carval, offering bureau services administered by IPP qualified staff."

Carval Payroll experts will be on hand to discuss the new service at Softworld HR and Payroll Solutions, London ExCel 19th /20th of October, stand number 42.
