Seco-Larm Modular Snap-In Video Baluns With Surge Protection Now Available


IRVINE, CALIF., December 8, 2005 - SECO-LARM U.S.A, Inc. is now shipping a new series of passive video baluns featuring a snap-in case to make it easier than ever to install CCTVs in remote locations.

The new ENFORCER EVT-PBM-V17 (male BNC connector) and EVT-PBM-V27 (female BNC connector) the fastest way to connect CCTV cameras and accessories to a monitor, multiplexer, or video recorder at up to 2,000 feet away. Just plug the low-cost Cat 5 or Cat 5e cable with standard RF-45 male plug into the back of the balun, then snap the balun into a standard modular single-gang wall plate with a 9/16" x 5/8" (16 x 14.5 mm) hole.

The modular snap-in passive video baluns can be used to quickly install any style of CCTV camera throughout an entire building or an entire campus without expensive coax cable. Just put one single-gang plate with a snap-in video balun in each room which might be protected by a CCTV camera, and run low-cost Cat 5 or Cat 5e cable from the balun to a centralized DVR or passive video hub.

Each balun includes surge protection and a built-in RJ-45 female connector on back. They support a wide range of video formats, including RS170, NTSC, PAL, SECAM and CCIR.
