Part Presentation Stands minimize worker strain and fatigue.
Part Presentation Stands minimize worker strain and fatigue.

February 1, 2006 - Consisting of pipe sections and metal or plastic joints, Part-Presentation Stands eliminate worker's need to bend and awkwardly reach for parts at work stations, assembly points, and machine loading locations. Units provide angled surfaces that tilt containers for access to parts, as well as off-the-floor storage and positioning of part containers. Designs can be large enough to hold multitude of different parts or small enough to fit in tight locations.

Creform® Part-Presentation Stands Make Operations More Efficient

Simple, ergonomic and economical are the features that best describe part-presentation stands constructed from Creform® Corporation's adaptive material handling components, the Creform® System. Part-presentation stands eliminate a worker's need to bend and awkwardly reach for parts at work stations, assembly points, machine loading locations, or other part processing locations. Creform part-presentation structures result in more efficient operations, safer work areas, and reduced strain and fatigue to staffers.

Efficient operations are achieved by incorporating angled surfaces that tilt containers for better access to parts, to make manual parts' handling easier and faster. Safer work areas are possible by providing off-the-floor storage and positioning of part containers. Reduced strains and fatigue is a reality by elevating part containers to convenient heights to eliminate repetitive overreaching, bending and lifting motions. In many application designs, the Creform part-presentation units provide easy visual detection of low parts-on-hand inventory levels to help assure timely refill and maintain a continuous flow of components.

The Creform System's ease of design and construction allows users to custom match their own specific-style part presentation stands to individual application needs. Unit designs can be large enough to hold a multitude of different parts, small enough to fit in tight locations, and include return slides for storing empty containers.
For construction, the system consists of pipe sections that are easily cut to required plan lengths with either a manual pipe cutter, a powered pipe cutter, or by using a band or chop saw.

For assembly, the system utilizes either metal joints that clamp onto pipe sections, or plastic joints that are 'welded' to the pipes with adhesive. If part needs change or operations are modified, the use of metal joints allows stands to be disassembled and reconfigured using most, of the existing components, thus saving costs.
A wide array of available auxiliary hardware accessories provides solutions for specific functions...flat-surface channel sections, roller conveyor sections, hinges and latches, clamps and mounts, springs, tool holders, and more. Each stand may be built with stabilizing feet, including height adjustable styles, or with casters to make the units easily maneuverable for easy housekeeping, or for transport to other areas. Casters with brakes hold stands securely in place during use.

Creform also offers ESD pipe sections and a selection of joints for building part-presentation stands that aid in protecting sensitive electronic components from electrostatic buildup. For harsh work environments where chemical or corrosion resistance is required, or applications with high temperatures, stands constructed from stainless steel pipe and joints are available from Creform as prefabricated kits or assembled units.

In addition to the part presentation stand structures, other representative examples of material handling structures built using the Creform System include push carts and trailers; flow racks; roller conveyors; hinged shelf carts; tilting racks and tables; height adjustable work tables and workstations. The Creform System can also be used to implement economical and easy-to-install Automated Guided Cart systems for efficient automated material delivery units.

In addition to providing Creform System components, the Creform Corporation also offers design and assembly services for the virtually infinite number of structures and applications possible.. and partners with many of its customers in developing, implementing, maintaining and expanding their lean manufacturing programs.
