Parallel Shaft Gearmotor Available in 14 Gear Ratios

Sioux Center, IA-January 28, 2004-Groschopp Inc. has announced their PS1900 parallel shaft gearmotor offered in 14 separate gearing ratios from a low 5-to-1 all the way up to a high 320-to-1. The PS1900 features continuous duty torque ratings up to
125in-lbs and compatibility with all Groschopp AC, PM, and DC brushless motors. "The PS1900 is ideal for medium-duty industrial conveying applications or for use where starting and stopping torque is a requirement but available space is restricted," said Greg Pennings, Field Application Engineer for Groschopp. "Don't let its compact size fool you -with hobbed and hardened spur gears and helical gearing on the input stage, the PS1900 is a tough little gearmotor," Pennings added. The PS1900 also withstands repeated starts and stops as well as continuous torque that generates extreme heat with its efficient design and unique use of synthetic lubricants that provide better heat dissipation than standard grease. The PS1900 has a rugged powder-coated cast aluminum housing and standard face and foot mounts with custom mounts optional. Internal ball bearings and needle bearings on the output shaft provide substantial overhung load durability and quiet operation.
