Clevis pin's bracket design secures it from being completely removed, preventing loss or damage. Offered with single- or double-hole terminations, receptacles deliver up to 1,000 Vac/Vdc and up to 1,135 A of continuous power under extreme conditions.

Leviton Expands Rhino-Hide 49 Connectors with "X" Series Panel-Mount Receptacles forTight Spaces


Comprehensive line of connection products now covers all the bases for high-amperage power generation applications

Little Neck, NY, June 9, 2009 - Leviton Manufacturing has expanded its line of Rhino-Hide® 49 Series high-amperage, single-pole connectors with the addition of the "X" Series Panel-Mounted Receptacles. The new "X" Series features a 45-degree-angle stainless steel clevis pin that permits ganging of multiple receptacles as close as ¼ inch apart for mounting on smaller panels and which accepts industry standard lockouts for added security. The clevis pin's bracket design secures it from being completely removed, preventing loss or damage.

Rhino-Hide "X" Series devices are available in both male and female versions. They feature single- or double-hole terminations and come in 10 colors, for easy color coding and quick visual identification of circuit and phase connections.

Ideal for use in land-based and off-shore oil drilling rigs, Rhino-Hide devices are available as single pole connectors and receptacles that deliver up to 1,000 Volts AC or DC and up to 1,135 Amps of continuous power under the most extreme conditions.
