EMX Inc Launches EPT-40 Pan/Tilt Positioner

Melbourne, FL (February 26, 2007) - EMX Inc., manufacturer of the Black Wolf Solar Powered Day/Night Surveillance System, has announced the rollout of their new Pan/Tilt Positioner, the EMX EPT-40.

Designed and built to operate in unforgiving marine environments, the IP-66 rated EPT-40 Pan/Tilt Positioner boasts a pan speed of up to 60 degrees a second and 2048 encoder accuracy. The EPT-40 features a continuous 360 degree pan range, a tilt range of +45/-30 degrees, and side-mounted payload of up to 50 pounds (22.7Kg). Incorporating EMX's Control Electronics, the EPT-40 can be configured to accept Marine Radar TTM Message Data for 'slew-to-cue' operations with the Radar. DIP switches on the Control Electronics board allow configuring the EPT-40 for Pelco-P and Pelco-D protocols. Incremental pan and tilt encoders with 2048 resolution provide position feedback and are also used to provide 'on-screen' display of pan/tilt position in azimuth and elevation.

Final testing on the EPT-40 was completed February, 2007. The first fifteen production units will be available in March, 2007.
