Telemetrics Debuts Pan/Tilt Head for Camera & Teleprompter Systems
New System Features Internal Cable Management System & Military Grade Connectors.
Las Vegas, NV (April 19, 2004) – Telemetrics, Inc. has introduced a new serial controlled pan/tilt head designed for broadcast and video production applications here at NAB 2004. The new PT-LP-S3 Pan/Tilt Head is ideal for camera and teleprompter applications that demand the highest levels of performance and reliability. In addition, the PT-LP-S3 offers a weather proof option along with the new HD-HOU-S3 Weather Proof Housing for use outdoors.

The PT-LP-S3 Pan/Tilt Head offers servo controlled operation with a newly designed internal cable management system. All connections to the camera and pan/tilt head are made at the fixed base of the unit eliminating problems associated with multiple cables revolving with the head including strain relief and interference. All power, control and video cables are routed internally for better appearance and utility. The base of the unit also houses various options including slip ring, multiplex and fiber interfaces.
The PT-LP-S3 Pan/Tilt Head also features a new heavy machined mechanical housing with a thick camera mounting plate. The housing is fully sealed and enables the unit to be used indoors or outdoors as a weather cam when used with the weatherproof option which includes a fully sealed connector plate with military grade connectors.
The weather proof option is complemented by Telemetrics' new HD-HOU-S3 Weather Proof Housing which is specifically designed to mate with the PT-LP-S3 Pan/Tilt Head. The new weather proof housings are smaller and lighter than previous models since the serial control and servo drive electronics are housed in the base of the unit. The HD-HOU-S3 Weather Proof Housing is designed to support broadcast point of view cameras and lenses.
