M-Real Introduces Simcastor Flex, A Versatile Paper for Flexible Packaging Especially Developed for Demanding Rotogravure Printing

The latest member of the renewed Simcastor product family is a one-side coated, supercalendered bleached kraft paper for flexible packaging with excellent functional and visual properties.

M-real strives to address product issues most relevant to the competitiveness of its customers. Two of the most important qualities of its products are excellent visual properties and functionality in different converting processes. Accordingly, the new Simcastor Flex performs reliably in the production and enables designs that appeal to today's consumers.

Simcastor Flex has been developed especially for demanding rotogravure printing. It is a safe packaging material, approved for food packaging by the FDA, and manufactured according to HACCP hygiene standards. It is therefore suitable for end-uses such as dry foods and beverages, chocolate and confectionery, pet foods, cigarettes, and pharmaceutical and healthcare products. Simcastor Flex ES provides extra stiffness needed for packaging such as that used for yogurt banderols.

Simcastor Label and Simcastor Base have also been renewed. Simcastor Label, with improved whiteness, offers good printability in offset as well as smooth processing and labeling. Simcastor Base, now with improved brightness and bulk, provides excellent runnability, properties which allow it to lay flat and good printability on the reverse side. Simcastor Plus, which has remained unchanged, provides the outstanding runnability and printability required in flexible packaging.

M-real Simpele, which manufactures the Simcastor product family, has a proven track record in supply consistency as well customer service. M-real is present in more than 70 countries and has the resources to attend to customers' needs locally on all continents. M-real's products and services enable customers to respond to cost pressures with style and quality.
