Glue Dots International Unveils "MatrX(TM)" at West Pack in Booth 5425
NEW BERLIN (WI) - Available February 2010: Glue Dots International, the manufacturer of innovative Glue Dots® Brand Adhesive Products, will be unveiling a revolutionary new product called MatrX(TM) in booth 5425 at West Pack 2010. Designed for use in industrial packaging applications, this new technology, consisting of a pattern of adhesive micro-dots, comes in widths of ¼" and ½" and in thicknesses from 5 mils up to 15 mils. MatrX(TM) is available in both permanent and removable formulas, providing optimum strength for long-lasting attachment yet minimal but effective adhesion for quick release applications.
Pressure-sensitive MatrX(TM) is a faster, easier and safer method of substrate-to-substrate bonding for industrial use. MatrX(TM) offers a clean alternative to transfer tape, bonds instantly, is safer than hot melts and liquid glues, and provides clean cut-off with no residue and less waste.
Expressing the need for the product are companies involved with packaging, printing, direct mail, fulfillment and manufacturing projects. MatrX(TM) will additionally be targeted at beverage distribution, pharmaceutical, point-of-purchase, framing, protective packaging and virtually any purpose customers and new markets demand.
Using the recently improved Dot Shot® Pro (DSP) triggerless applicator, the rolls are easily interchangeable allowing the operator to switch from permanent to removable or various pattern widths in seconds. The DSP also allows the user to switch from traditional Glue Dots® brand adhesives to MatrX(TM) using the same device. When used in conjunction, the DSP and MatrX(TM) are ideal for project-oriented environments like contract packaging facilities, sheltered workshops or fulfillment houses due to the lightweight design and ergonomic friendliness of the applicator.
