Autotask(TM) Corporation Announces PSA Software for Handheld Devices

EAST GREENBUSH, N.Y., Jan. 10 -- Autotask Corporation today announced the arrival of Autotask LiveMobile allowing IT service providers real-time mobile access to the Autotask business management software platform. Autotask LiveMobile is the first hosted PSA application that gives IT service technicians real-time access to critical customer service data via mobile devices including handhelds, smart phones, PDAs and PocketPCs.

For the first time, Autotask users are able to access the service calls and service ticket data needed to manage their daily responsibilities. In addition, service technicians can enter their time directly from a mobile device, instantly updating the primary business management platform back at the main office.

Autotask LiveMobile creates a real-time window into a service provider's customer and service database, providing service technicians with the most current "live" data from the office, and dispatchers with real-time updates from the field. This instant feedback from the field dramatically reduces the time to accurately report billable service time, improves workflow efficiencies, increases field technician productivity and boosts profitability.

"Adoption rates of mobile devices within the IT services community is increasing at a record pace," said Autotask chief executive officer, Bob Godgart. "This new Autotask option recognizes the inherent value of providing remote access to critical business data using the new breed of handheld mobile devices. We believe this innovation will fundamentally change the way IT service providers run their businesses -- for the better."

Autotask LiveMobile Helps IT Businesses Improve Utilization Rates and Optimize Profitability

Autotask LiveMobile makes it possible for field technicians to enter their billable time from the client's site, without having to access the client's workstation on their network. This facilitates more accurate and timely billing, allows better insight into the nature of the service call and the total time spent serving clients. The real-time collection of data means solution providers can capture more billable hours and improve tech utilization rates. Providing access to these critical business metrics gives IT solution providers better control over profitability of their professional and managed services -- both by individual client and for their businesses as a whole.

Autotask LiveMobile Improves Team Communication and Increases Customer Satisfaction

Autotask LiveMobile allows users in the field to access their service tickets, view issue details, get directions to the service location and review the status of each service call. This allows them to monitor and access updates to their schedule while they are in the field. In addition, Autotask LiveMobile gives the dispatcher a real-time view of each technician's progress during the day, aiding in the scheduling of new service calls as tickets come in. These tools together create significant time-savings that impact the bottom line and increase customer satisfaction.

Autotask Corporation is making Autotask LiveMobile available to all current Autotask customers for a free trial period through Jan. 31, 2007. Starting Feb. 1, Autotask Corporation will charge existing customers an additional $10 per user per month for mobile access. A base Autotask license is required to use Autotask LiveMobile.
