PTC Extends PLM Leadership with Windchill(R) Support for New J2EE Standards
Pure Internet Architecture Essential to Fast Deployment and Low Cost of Ownership
NEEDHAM, Mass., April 28 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- PTC (Nasdaq: PMTC), the product development company(TM), today announced that Windchill 7.0 will encompass the industry's broadest and most sophisticated Java(TM) 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition (J2EE) standards for product lifecycle management (PLM) solutions. PTC is one of the first PLM vendors to support the latest release of J2EE, version 1.4, including J2EE Connector Architecture (JCA), Java API for XML Processing (JAXP) and Java API for XML Messaging (JAXM).
The standards-based open Windchill architecture enables manufacturers to easily configure, deploy, scale and maintain the Windchill solution suite to optimize product development across the digital product value chain of departments, partners, suppliers and customers.
