Zeus Introduces Perme-ShieldTM High-Performance PFA Tubing
Zeus, Inc., a world leader in the development of high-performance polymer extrusions, announces the arrival of Perme-Shield(TM), an innovative new design developed specifically for semiconductor manufacturers.
Perme-Shield is dual layer, high-purity PFA coextruded tubing with an inner fluid contact surface of copy-exact, high-purity PFA (Daikin AP-231SH) and an outer layer of high-purity Low Permeation Polymer (LPP).
"Perme-Shield's ability to resist permeation is unique in regards to other high-performance fluoropolymers," says Vice President of Research and Strategic Business Development Bob Ballard. "When you compare its significantly longer service life and lower maintenance costs with other materials, it creates the potential for new chemical delivery applications in the semiconductor industry."
Perme-Shield's ID meets SEMI F57 standards for purity. The tubing can be laser marked or striped for identification and is capable of being welded.
