INTEL DEVELOPER FORUM, San Francisco, August 23, 2005 - One Stop Systems announces the release of the first 1U Switch for PCI Express (PCIe) over cable. With one x4 uplink and seven x4 downlinks, the MAX Express (MAXe) 1U PCIe Switch can link any PCIe host to multiple PCIe peripheral devices or expansion chassis with low latency and low power. This breakthrough product, with connectors compliant to the latest PCI-SIG cable specifications, is used to increase functionality in throughput-intensive applications, including broadcast, imaging, military and commercial computing systems.
The 8-port rack mount switch occupies 1U of rack space. Reversible rack ears allow the high-speed PCI-SIG PCIe x4 cable connectors to face forward or backward. LEDs for power and PCIe lane status are provided on both the front and rear of the enclosure. Power input connectors are also available on both the front and rear of the enclosure.
