Offering support for next generation broadband cellular integration to laptop PCs, Espresso(TM) Cellular WWAN PCI express mini-card offers support for 3GPP Release 5 multimode HSDPA/EDGE that delivers peak data-rates of 3.6 Mbps and is scalable to 7.2 Mbps and HSUPA, without hardware change. It also supports full EDGE Class 12 capability and 3GPP-defined Type 3 advanced receiver. Espresso delivers enhanced uplink data rates with HSUPA and high performance in real network conditions.

Icera Inc. has today announced availability of its Espresso(TM) Cellular WWAN PCI express Mini-card platform, which supports the next generation of broadband cellular integration to laptop PCs. The platform fully supports 3GPP Release 5 multimode HSDPA/EDGE which delivers peak data-rates of 3.6Mbps and is fully scalable to 7.2Mbps and HSUPA - without hardware change.
