January 12, 2011 - Providing rigid assembly and EMI seal, 2hp AMC Extender uses clip-on side car to enable conversion of mid-size PCB modules for use in full-size module envelope. Unit works with single- and double-width extruded front panels for circuit boards and is compatible with both AMCV.0 release and 1.0 and 2.0 panel configurations.

XTech Launches the 2hp AMC Extender


XTech today introduced the 2hp AMC Extender, enabling the conversion of existing mid-size modules for use in a full-size module envelope.

"This is a very simple way to convert existing mid-size modules for use in a full-size module envelope," said Laurie Burger, XTech Chief Marketing Officer. "It converts the mid-size modules with a simple clip-on 'side car' designed by XTech solutions engineers.

The unique extender works with single and double width extruded front panels from XTech. It forms a tight labyrinth, ensuring a rigid assembly and an EMI seal. It's also compatible with both AMCV.0 release and 1.0 and 2.0 configurations.

The 2hp AMC Extender is featured in an XTCast video blog, "XTech and XTCA Outside the Lines."
