GaGe Announces New Low-Priced 8-Bit Digitizer

Ideal for Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs)

Lockport, Illinois (June 10, 2008) - GaGe, a worldwide leader in the design and manufacture of high-performance PC-based digitizer and oscilloscope cards, today announced its new low-priced BASE-8 CompuScope digitizer designed for OEM customers who require analog-to-digital conversion in their systems but who also need to keep the cost as low as possible.

BASE-8 digitizers provide a single digitizing channel with 8-bit resolution, 200 MHz bandwidth, and sampling speeds up to 500 MS/s. To off-load CPU intensive processing from the host PC, custom on-board eXpert(TM) (FPGA) signal processing functionality is also available.

"We realize that our OEM customers are very cost conscious and usually require basic digitizer functionality with relatively high sampling rates, but not a lot of other bells and whistles," said Patrick Cassady, Executive Vice President of DynamicSignals LLC. "BASE-8 leverages upon our digitizer expertise, product quality and performance, and is very competitively priced to enable OEM applications that were previously not possible," Cassady added.

BASE-8 digitizers can also be customized for those customers who have additional requirements such as:

o Higher simultaneous channel counts (2 or more channels)

o Higher sampling rates of up to 2 GS/s

o eXpert on-board FPGA signal analysis functionality (FIR Filtering, Signal Averaging, Peak Detection, FFT or customized processing firmware)

o Advanced timing signals such as Clock In, Clock Out, Trig Out, and others

o Higher memory >256MS up to 4 GS

o Product re-labeling

OEMs can quickly and easily integrate the BASE-8 digitizer into their own systems using one of GaGe's powerful Software Development Kits (SDKs) for C/C#, MATLAB®, or LabVIEW® and other popular programming environments. BASE-8 digitizers are also compatible with GageScope® oscilloscope software that allows users to acquire and analyze signals without writing a single line of programming code.

Applications for BASE-8 digitizers include: manufacturing testing, component testing, oscilloscope replacement, automated test equipment (ATE), embedded digitizer, ultrasonic non-destructive testing, and radar/lidar.

BASE-8 digitizers are available immediately at an introductory price of $2895.00 USD.
