Micromax Announces Production of the Quad Core Intel i7 CPU Based M-MAX 810 EP PC/104 ATR System
New York, - MicroMax announces the availability of the M-Max 810 EP/MMS, a fanless Quad Core Intel i7 CPU based, 1/2-Short ATR PC/104 system for avionics.
The stand-out features of this product help it fill an important niche for avionics designers creating mission critical applications for modern aircraft. In designing the 810 EP/MMS, MicroMax built upon the company's proven fully-ruggedized M-Max 810 Family of PC/104 ATR aluminum chassis designed for fanless operation. Using the special thermal abilities of MicroMax's patent pending design for affixing PC/104 boards, the 810 EP/MMS dissipates up to 60W of power. As a result, this compact Quad Core Intel i7 CPU based system achieves reliability through elimination of moving parts, yet it operates at temperatures up to +55°C while providing full dust and humidity protection.
Sam Abarbanel, President of MicroMax, notes: “Our highly rugged M-Max 810-Family of PC/104 ATR enclosures were first introduced at Embedded World 2013 in Nuremberg. Our newest offering, the high performance M-Max 810 EP/MMS, raises that product line to the performance of high end industrial computers, widening its scope of applications. This fully sealed fanless ATR-system again shows MicroMax’s industry leadership in this area and demonstrates the ongoing potential of the PC/104 Form Factor.”
The Quad Core Intel i7 based M-Max 810 EP/MMS is a rugged industrial computer. It provides reliable operation in tough environments including transportation (air, marine, ground and rail), mining and processing applications. While providing excellent shock and vibration resistance, the M-Max 810 EP/MMS can operate under extreme temperatures (-40°C to +55°C) and high dust and humidity (IP66 Rated). Its high performance features excellent 2D and 3D graphics capabilities through VGA and HDMI interfaces. Data storage options include a variety of industrial SSDs with RAID functionality.
Mechanical excellence: The M-Max 810 Family of PC/104 ATR fully-ruggedized ATR machined aluminum chassis is designed from the ground up for fanless operation. It uses natural convection and conduction cooling in accordance with MIL-STD-810 standards. The 810 Family chassis comes in a variety of sizes (1/2, 3/4, Standard, Tall, Short, and Long) accommodating up to 12 PC/104 boards and allows integrating additional PCI / PCI Express boards. By using COTS components, the M-Max 810 Family chassis supports configuring to comply with a wide variety of airborne, marine and ground vehicle applications. MicroMax can easily modify the basic enclosure to meet custom requirements for the front / back panels, connectors, mounting hardware, and more.
MicroMax, as a manufacturer of industrial computers, takes a customized approach to each client. Its engineering group can design M-Max systems to fit customer-specific technical requirements.
