Ozone Disinfection System features chemical-free design.

Press Release Summary:

Utilizing corona discharge process to produce aqueous ozone, portable FDA-cleared Ozone Disinfection System eliminates rinse and repeat cycles caused by chemicals and cuts disinfection time to under 1 hr. Ozone has no detrimental effect on bicarb and water system components. Adjustable gauges indicate proper vacuum levels for mixing ozone and water, while ozone gas off chamber removes excess gas not dissolved in water and runs it through ozone gas destruct device, returning it to oxygen.

Original Press Release:

Highly-Effective and Chemical-Free Ozone Disinfection System from AmeriWater Now FDA Cleared

DAYTON, OH – The FDA has cleared AmeriWater’s Ozone Disinfection System, a design that delivers economical, highly-effective and chemical-free ozone disinfection in a portable and easy-to-use unit.

Fast and Effective Disinfection—Without Chemicals

The system’s high-tech corona discharge process produces aqueous ozone, the best disinfectant for bicarb and water systems because microorganisms cannot build up a tolerance to ozone. Creating high levels of ozone quickly and eliminating rinse and repeat cycles caused by chemicals, the system reduces disinfection time to under one hour.

Economical and Reliable Operation

AmeriWater’s Ozone Disinfection System saves money by eliminating the need to purchase expensive, dangerous and hard-to-dispose chemicals. In addition, ozone has no detrimental effect on bicarb and water system components including PVC. Using oxygen eliminates nitrogen degradation of the ozone generator, ensuring years of reliable performance.

Portable and Easy to Use

Adjustable gauges quickly indicate the proper vacuum levels for mixing ozone and water. An ozone gas off chamber removes excess gas not dissolved in the water and runs it through an ozone gas destruct device, returning it to oxygen. Equipped with integral wheels, the portable and compact unit moves easily from bicarb to water systems or from center-to-center.

AmeriWater CEO Diane Dolan says, “The Ozone Disinfection System is the latest in our comprehensive line of solutions for dialysis water treatment to be approved by the FDA.”
