CommScope Carrier Solutions Introduces New Compact Enclosure Designed for High-Density Telecommunication Equipment
HICKORY, N.C., March 29 -- CommScope, Inc., (NYSE:CTV), a world leader in infrastructure solutions for communication networks, announces the introduction of its new 50B Compact Enclosure designed for high-density telecommunication equipment such as 3G UMTS equipment and batteries. The 50B cabinet is a small-footprint outdoor enclosure measuring 15" wide X 25" tall X 33" deep with 6RU of 19-inch equipment rack space. It has a fully sealed, modular design that is easily adaptable to pad, pole or wall mount and is designed to accommodate growth.
The cabinet supports a variety of mounting options and can accept a wide range of power inputs. The design also provides a high level of environmental protection and security. The hinged, tamperproof doors can lift off to allow for mounting ease and flexibility. The enclosure features durable, graffiti- resistant gray or beige powder coat paint finish, an integrated backup battery module, and various alarms to detect such conditions as high temperature and intrusion. Fully sealed for maximum electronics protection, the enclosure is designed for GR-487, Zone 4 compliance.
