July 10, 2009 - SimplyAccess.net have launched an inexpensive Microsoft Access based Open-Source Order & Invoice Management database for Small Business. Called Simply Orders, it provides the order processing functionality needed by a small business, without all the clutter that they don't need (and don't want to pay for). It is available open source so it can be modified by users to suit their businesses.
Simply Orders is available for Microsoft Access 2000 or later, and comes packaged in a professional installer so takes seconds to setup and start using. As it's based on MS Access, it integrates easily with other MS Office applications e.g. mail-merges to customers using Word, export order/invoice data to Excel for analysis, email delivery notes and invoices using Outlook. Furthermore, you can attach copies of saved emails, files or scanned documents to orders so that they can be always found quickly and easily.
Orders, Invoices and reports can be printed off, or they can be emailed in Acrobat pdf format. With just one click using the built-in print to pdf functionality, a new email will open with the document (e.g. invoice) attached, ready to send to your customer.
