Pick Pack Dispatch Launched as SaaS Solution

KINGSTON UPON HULL -- Order fulfilment specialists Axida have launched PPD; a ground-breaking pick, pack and despatch Software as a Service (SaaS) offering designed specifically for the needs of ecommerce, mail order and fulfilment businesses. The pay-as-you-go Axida PPD solution is hosted online and requires little to no upfront investment, has no licence fees and utilises the clients' existing computer hardware. Set up is quick and simple as customers simply access the on-demand system on the Internet using a standard web browser.

"With our low-cost cloud computing pick, pack and dispatch solution, we are giving fulfilment houses, catalogue, mail order and ecommerce businesses the power to take control of their fulfilment operations with the added benefit of ensuring maximum customer satisfaction through efficient service. Our SaaS offering provides warehouse and fulfilment management functionality without the associated costs of installing expensive onsite systems," says Len Robinson, Director, Axida.

PPD features standard interfacing for Amazon and eBay orders and can be used with other systems such as osCommerce and ChannelAdvisor, enabling full integration with ecommerce websites. The system manages back orders for drop shipping by giving greater control and visibility of the order - an area that can be problematic for online stores, particularly with products that are delivered direct to customers from manufacturers and distributors.

Axida PPD is a fully-hosted system backed by 24/7 support with complete disaster recovery management. It provides comprehensive features and benefits found in expensive, complex high-end warehouse management systems. It provides on-line, real-time stock and dispatch management and instant live stock information, right through to automatic dispatch note and carrier label production.

The system assigns orders to available stock with the facility to set re-order levels. Picking can be grouped in several ways such as by carrier or order date to optimise staffing and time spent on the pick, pack and dispatch process. It includes customer order contact management, which saves on the cost of additional systems, and carrier integration, already supporting the likes of Parcelforce, UPS and DPD amongst others. Returns management is also handled by PPD with automated replacement processing.
