FKI Logistex Announces Enhanced, Web-Based Tools for EASYpick® Order Fulfillment Software

Latest version of light- and voice-directed order fulfillment software features productivity enhancing tools for supervisors

(ST. LOUIS: Sept. 18, 2008) FKI Logistex® (www.fkilogistex.com), a global leader in integrated material handling solutions, announces that its popular EASYpick® order fulfillment software now features enhanced productivity reporting and workload planning tools for supervisors. The latest EASYpick software release provides universal access to the new supervisor tools from any computer connected to the EASYpick network and supports FKI Logistex EASYpick Pick-to-Light, GoKart, Voice, RF, and EASYput® Put-to-Light technologies.

With several new supervisor screens providing detailed order fulfillment data based on a range of selectable criteria, EASYpick software delivers full-featured functionality for optimizing distribution center efficiency and productivity. The new web-based enhancements include tools for dynamic workload planning, detailed productivity reporting, and exporting productivity data for use in customized reports and data-driven applications such as Microsoft Excel and Crystal Reports.

The new tools allow supervisors to plan workloads more accurately by providing up-to-the-minute views of order-filler productivity, and recommending zone sizes and the number of order-pickers required. The enhanced version of EASYpick order fulfillment software also allows supervisors to check on order-picking progress via a PDA or other mobile unit, giving them the ability to analyze order-filler productivity and to monitor quality assurance remotely.

"The resource demands in order fulfillment operations are constantly changing," said Bill Hubacek, director of order fulfillment products, FKI Logistex North America. "By continually enhancing our software's functionality in response to our customers' needs, we help them meet their productivity goals in a highly dynamic environment."
