Random Orbital Sander From Snap-On Puts Power and Comfort in the Palm of Your Hand

KENOSHA, Wis., Oct. 21, 2005 - Sanding, shaping and refinishing just got easier with the introduction of the Snap-on® Random Orbital Sander (PS4612). The sander offers reduced vibration, smooth operation, a contoured fit and patented o-ring sealed motor. An adjustable air regulator allows the sander to reach a maximum 12,000 rpm, perfect for tackling any size sanding project.

The Snap-on Random Orbital Sander features an ergonomic S-curved lever that fits hands better than flat levers to deliver optimum comfort. The sculpted shape provides additional comfort and reduces hand fatigue when working for a long period of time. The adjustable grip is made from a soft material for maximum vibration absorption and is molded to complement nearly any size hand. The grip features notches inside that allow the technician to rotate the handle and position a grip comfortable for their hand size. The notches also prevent inadvertent rotation of the grip while in use.

Adding to the tool's uniqueness, a field-serviceable drop-in motor allows easy access for cleaning, adding tune-up kits or full-motor replacement. A patented dust-bearing shield prevents contamination of the lower motor bearing, protecting and significantly extending overall motor life. The smooth operation of the Snap-on Random Orbital Sander is achieved by a robust front spindle and precision balanced crank. This spindle and crank design helps extend the life of the motor and front bearing when downward pressure is applied to the sander.

Customers can find out more about the Snap-on® Random Orbital Sander (PS4612) by contacting their local Snap-on representative or calling toll free 877-SNAPON-2 (877-762-7662).
