Multi-Function Optical Talk Set Conducts Full-Duplex Communication
Toronto, Canada - GAO Fiber Optics (www.GAOFiberOptics.com) has released its multi-function optical talk set which integrates functions of both a digital optical phone and a stabilized light source into one unit. It is generally used in installation, optical testing, maintenance and fiber attenuation value testing in data, CATV and telecommunication networks.
This innovative optical talk set, model C0240001, carries out full-duplex communication with high quality conversation connection and low background noise. It operates at a wavelength of 1310 nm or 1550 nm. The modulation frequencies include 270 Hz, 1 kHz, 2 kHz and CW. This high performance talk set provides a transmission distance of up to 80 km and an output power range from -5 to -7 dBm. FP- LD emitter and FC/PC optical connector are also available. It is powered by a rechargeable battery allowing for 5 hours continuous operation and has an adaptor power supply as well. It is equipped with a large back lit LCD display. Additionally, online communications are also available when used together with an optical clip-on coupler.
